Housing Choice Voucher a.k.a. Section 8

The housing choice voucher program is the federal government's major program for assisting low-income families, the elderly, and the disabled to afford decent, safe, and sanitary housing in the private market.  Since housing assistance is provided on behalf of the family or individual, participants are able to find their own housing, including single-family homes, townhouses and apartments.

The rent is direct deposited on behalf of the participating family on or before the 5th of each month.  The family then pays the difference, if any, between the actual rent charged by the landlord and the amount subsidized by the program.

Non - Profit Housing Agencies

Cash Flow Detroit has partnered with several organizations to provide quality, safe, and affordable housing for their program participants.  In most of these situations, the lease is between the landlord and the organization, not the tenant.  This all but eliminates the possibility of late or non payment of rent.

Qualified Working or Fixed Income Families

Through our aggressive marketing, we attract some of the most qualified applicants.  To be considered for one of our properties, the household's gross income must be at least 3x the monthly rent.  We also scrutinize credit history, employment history, as well as past rental history before a decision is made.
